In our previous update, we shared how the thermal treatment kilns of the heat-treated wood processing plant were beginning to take their final shape and the hall doors had been installed. We are now taking further steps towards the completion of our facility.

Progress in kiln cladding

The cladding of the thermal treatment kilns at the heat-treated wood processing plant is progressing according to plan. In recent weeks, the kilns have started to take their final form and the work is moving swiftly. This is a crucial phase, as the completion of the kilns is essential for the operation of the entire facility. We are eagerly anticipating seeing the kilns fully finished and ready for the heat treatment of wood.

Drainage systems completed

There has also been progress outside the construction site. The installation of the drainage systems has been completed, which significantly enhances the protection of the plant’s foundations and surroundings from moisture. The drainage systems have been carefully designed and installed with durability and functionality in mind. This ensures that the plant’s environment remains dry and protected over the long term.

Hall cleaning in progress, asphalt laying to begin soon

We have also begun cleaning the interior of the hall in preparation for the next major work phase: the asphalt laying of the floor. Asphalt flooring will improve the functionality of the hall and allow for the smooth movement of heavy machinery and equipment.

New employees familiarizing themselves with the work environment

In our last update, we mentioned the training of new employees. Our new team members at the Raahe heat-treated wood processing plant have had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the hall and work environment. They have been introduced to the facilities and their upcoming tasks before the plant is fully operational. Our new team is enthusiastic and motivated to start their work and we are confident they will be a key part of the plant’s success. Looking ahead

Our construction project is progressing as planned and we are pleased with the progress made. Next, we will focus on the asphalt laying of the floor and the final touches on the heat-treated wood kilns.
